Call to Action:
We ask all citizens of El Paso County to come and stand in support of the Proclamation to reopen our county tomorrow at the Board of El Paso County Commissioners meeting. Let’s come together to ensure that the media, the people and ultimately, Governor Polis, cannot deny the determination of our local citizens!
As stated in the Proclamation which has already been agreed upon by all five of our Conservative County Commissioners, “Citizens are best equipped to make decisions for themselves about their individual risk level” and “The continuance for Executive Orders forcing lockdown measures is inappropriate, and overreach of government authority, and such authority must be returned to local governments immediately.”
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners proclaim that fully reopening schools, businesses, and lifting burdensome restrictions is in the best interest of all Coloradans.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, we urge Governor Polis to join the growing bipartisan movement across the country to rapidly ease restrictions, end mandates, return decision-making authority to local governments, and allow Coloradoans to resume a more normal lifestyle.
